2098, Ur-Quan hunting cry

"so let's back up a few years to 2098 when the Chenjesu's super-sensitive receivers detected a strange signal from the Ophiuchi constellation. Though even the Chenjesu didn't know it, it was the first sign of the Ur-Quan's arrival. The Ur-Quan, having detected the presence of many sentient species, were beaming out an exulting hunting cry." (game dialog, starbase.txt)

c. 2098, Kzer-Za defeat Thraddash as first species in this area of space

"When the Ur-Quan entered the local region of space, the first race they conquered was the Thraddash" (sc2resource.txt) (must be before the defeat of the Umgah, and after the hunting cry, so 2098)

c. 2098, Kzer-Za defeat Umgah

"In 2098 their ultra-sensitive HyperWave receivers began recording strange broadcasts, unshielded and strong, from the direction of the Cygnus star cluster. Soon after, the Chenjesu listened as the Ur-Quan brutally conquered the first race they encountered, the Umgah." ("they" must refer to the Chenjesu, to match other sources) (sc2manual.txt)

2111, Kzer-Za defeat Ilwrath and Spathi

The sources give conflicting information here. On the one hand, the manual says "By 2111 the Spathi had also been subjugated and the Ilwrath, one of the Chenjesu's closest neighbors, was near defeat." On the other hand, two pieces of dialogue indicate that the Ilwrath were defeated first. Commander Hayes says the following: "The Chenjesu, distraught by the invasion, were further angered when the Ur-Quan turned their fleets on the hostile but weak Ilwrath race. A hastily assembled defense force of Mmrnmhrm and Chenjesu vessels turned the Ur-Quan fleet aside but the invader moved into Spathi space, rapidly subjugating that race." The Spathi also say "After the Ur-Quan demolished the Ilwrath, they turned the force of their Armada against us Spathi." According to the canon rules, it should then be assumed that the Ilwrath were defeated first.

2112, First contact with Chenjesu

"Earth got involved late in the game, in 2112, when the Chenjesu arrived in our solar system for the first time" (game dialog, starbase.txt)

2115, Humanity induced in the alliance which became the Alliance of Free Stars

"The Chenjesu's long-standing mutual defense agreement with the Mmrnmhrm became the basis for the Alliance of Free Stars. Soon the Yehat and their foster-species, the uplifted Shofixti, entered the Alliance. Following Humanity's induction in 2115, the Arilou Lalee'lay and the Syreen (unofficially) followed suit, bringing the Alliance to its final configuration, seven alien races united against a common foe." (sc2manual.txt)

2116, official founding of the Alliance of Free Stars

"On August 1, 2116, Earth joined the Chenjesu and their other allies - the Mmrnmhrm, the Yehat, the Shofixti, and unofficially, the Syreen - to form The Alliance of Free Stars."
