I've never understood this comment.  Almost instinctually I'd assume the cloaking device would be for hyperspace travel and not combat (i.e.: enemy ships can't see/intercept you). --[[Special:Contributions/71.230.38.50|71.230.38.50]] 14:18, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

:That's a really neat idea.  Though if I understand correctly, detecting other ships in hyperspace doesn't seem to rely on directly detecting them but rather seeing the small gravity wells generated by their presence.  We know Ilwrath Avengers have cloaking devices, and we know that they can still be seen and intercepted in hyperspace.  Unfortunately though all we have is speculation on the topic it seems. --[[Special:Contributions/74.197.254.17|74.197.254.17]] 16:04, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

Cloaking Device link[edit]

Isn't the "cloaking device" wiki link in this page rather pointless? It links to a Disambiguation page, which in this specific context links directly back to this FAQ. It doesn't really accomplish anything useful. --PsiPhi 23:37, 5 November 2007 (CET)

Cloaking Device: more interesting than the Ilwrath?[edit]

I've never understood this comment. Almost instinctually I'd assume the cloaking device would be for hyperspace travel and not combat (i.e.: enemy ships can't see/intercept you). --71.230.38.50 14:18, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

That's a really neat idea. --74.197.254.17 16:04, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
