The Planet Lander is the basic unit for exploration of planet surfaces, usually intended to gather minerals and biological data. The SIS can hold up to ten at a time, and they can be produced at a cost of 500 RU per unit. They typically hold twelve crew each and can carry 50 tons of cargo before returning to the ship. They are also equipped with a stun beam in order to subdue hostile lifeforms on a planet so they can be researched to gain biological data.
