The Ur-Quan use automated Security Drones to keep watch upon certain fallow races to ensure obedience to the slave laws and to stand as a sentry of Ur-Quan space. When a drone encounters a violation of the laws, whether from the fallow race or unknown trespasser, it reports back to the nearest Ur-Quan outpost to inform the Hierarchy so they may take any action deemed appropriate. While the Earth Starbase is monitored by a security drone (until The Captain shows up), the starbases above the Chenjesu and Syreen homeworlds apparently are not.
