The Balance Mod is an attempt to even out the effectiveness of every ship in player-versus-player melee. This involves tweaking the ship code to strengthen or weaken each of the various ships. The changes are quite extensive, though the ships retain their basic functionality. Many minor adjustments have been made for the sake of aesthetics or continuity. The Balance Mod is not suited for Star Control's main game, nor melee against the cyborg. The most recent build is v1.23, which is based on UQM 0.6.2's code.
