The '''Crew Pod''' modules are used to house crew members for manpower in battles, for [[lander]] crews of planetary exploration missions and, if one opts, for slave trade with the [[Druuge]]. These modules are composed of living quarters and extra life-support equipment and can support up to 50 crew members per module. Crew Pods cost 2000 [[Resource units|RU]] each, and it is urgently recommended that [[The Flagship]] have at least one crew pod at all times, lest [[The Captain]] be the only human aboard the ship (in which case a single hit from any hostile vessel will end the game immediately).
