			:As to acceleration/speed - yes, I knew those things, the example wasn't the best one - but slight acceleration differences really also matter in Super Melee, since the ships could spawn near each other and the speed that could be immediately achieved would be more important than the speed that will be reached after a certain amount of time. Also, ships with a greater acceleration (it doesn't matter whether this is because THRUST_WAIT is small or because THRUST_INCREMENT is large) are more adept at using gravity whips, since the amount of time a ship can spend in a gravity well while thrusting is limited, and it is important to be able to capitalize on that short interval (in which your maximum speed is greater), so comparison between the various acceleration values suddenly becomes much more important.
