The Peace Vaults were created by the United Nations in order to neutralize the self-destructive potential of a gigantic nuclear arsenal without actually destroying the bombs. All nuclear weapons were locked in the vaults until they were re-opened in (year) to serve as ammunition for the Earthling Cruisers being built in Chicago.
