Corridor Nine was the 'black ops' arm of the original Star Control. It was responsible for many covert operations during the Ur-Quan Slave War, the most significant of which involved scouting missions in Androsynth space. Here, Corridor Nine investigated a Precursor colony discovered by the crew of the Tobermoon on the planet Vela I, later known as Unzervalt. The science mission dispatched by Corridor Nine to Unzervalt became stranded on the planet as the Coreward Front collapsed, forcing them to subsist on the planet for nearly twenty years. They succeeded in fabricating a Precursor vessel that is commanded by The Captain in Star Control II, which culminates with the destruction of the Sa-Matra.
