One notable feature of the Podship is its ability to outrun its own weapons fire. Due to the plasma'a low speed, firing while the Podship is at speed stands a good chance of hitting the ship itself. Due to the high amount of damage caused by a "fresh" ball of plasma, this is often fatal to the firing Podship. Make sure to shoot backwards whenever possible to avoid such unpleasantness.

Due to the high damage of the fresh plasma, this is often fatal. Take extra care when using a gravity whip manuver.

The Mycon Podship is, depending on who you ask, one of the best ships in the game, or one of the worst. It's weapon systems are powerful get cumbersome, and it' ability to regenerate its crew gives it incredible staying power. On the other hand, it's fairly slow and difficult to control, which makes it an easy target for faster ships.
