Interstar Credits are the unit of currency for trade with the Melnorme, regardless of the Melnorme's claim that they have abandoned currency long ago.
Because the Melnorme sell fuel, one credit can be exchanged for 20 Resource Units; however, RU's cannot be converted back into credits.
