Interbellum was a novel published in 1996, about the same time that Star Control 3 was released for the PC. The book was written by W. T. Quick, and purports to bridge the gap between Star Control II and Star Control 3. Parts of the novel contradict information established in both Star Control and Star Control II, and the book is therefore generally considered non-canon.
The cover character is a member of a SC3 race, which does not appear in the book.
