Self-proclaimed melee expert right here. I have played a tremendous amount of Super Melee against other players starting from the the release of UQM v0.6.0 and onward. I've also hosted many net melee tournaments between mid 2007 until early 2009. The player turn-out was usually disappointing, but I have some good memories of these events in spite of that. Hello
Hi. I'm Shiver. I hang around the Star Control 2 community too much. I also blow up spam on this wiki. My style of wiki editing is incremental to a point of absurdity.
Ship Pages
As of Feb 2009, I've made a goal of heavily revising each of the ship pages. The way they are written at this moment in time causes my eyes to rupture and blood to spray out of my ears. I will do what I can to fix them.
These are the pages I have graced so far:
GameFAQs Guide
The Star Control II guide on GameFAQs with the screen name "Shiver" beside it is my handiwork. I made that thing back in high school and have applied minor tweaks to it a couple times since then. There's plenty that could be done to improve upon that guide, but I'm done with it.
Net Melee
Self-proclaimed melee expert right here. I have played a tremendous amount of Super Melee against other players starting from the the release of UQM v0.6.0 and onward. I've also hosted many net melee tournaments between mid 2007 until early 2009. The player turn-out was usually disappointing, but I have some good memories of these events in spite of that. Interest in net melee has died down completely now, but was fun while it lasted. Get in touch with me if you're looking for a beat-down, I suppose.
Pet Projects
Net Melee Balance Mod -- The end result of my tinkering with the ship code and graphics.
Net Melee Strategy Guide -- Incomplete. I don't think I'll be coming back to this project due to the lack of interest in net melee these days.
