The Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah are one of the two races of the Ur-Quan species. They share many physical characteristics with their Ur-Quan Kzer-Za brethren, except that their skin is black instead of green. Their race was genetically engineered by the Dnyarri from the main-line of the Ur-Quan species during the height of their slave empire. The Kohr-Ah were designed to be the "effectors" of the slave empire: the builders and warriors.
The Kohr-Ah are named for one their greatest surviving leader following their successfull revolt against the Dnyarri; see: Kohr-Ah (Character). Kohr-Ah (the individual) developed the Eternal Doctrine, which all Kohr-Ah (the subspecies) adhere to.
