The article says that as the Yuptar have been exterminated, that all knowledge about them "may have been lost forever"- the 'may' makes this sentence technically correct, but I don't think it is likley all knowledge is lost. First and formost, the Faz were slave shielded, and so they should have considerable knowledge of the other ancient races.
