Rigel

Rigel is an orange dwarf star located at 210.4 : 208.3, between the Wolf and Saurus constellations. The star system consists of three planets and four moons.

Near the end of the Ur-Quan Slave War, when the Hierarchy finally broke through the Coreward Front in 2134, a new but unfortunately short-lived defensive line was drawn at Rigel. The Alliance was able to hold the star system, but at great cost to the Chenjesu forces, a major contributing factor to their ensuing defeat by Hierarchy forces. Prior to this, in 2123, Precursor text fragments were found at Rigel describing the "Appendages of Dawn", also known as the Ultron. This star system is also the location for the first contact between the Earthlings and the Zoq-Fot-Pik.
