Lander Hints

- Keep your finger on the escape button!
- Don't risk hostile planets. You might be able to come back to them later.
- If your lander is nearly full, go back to the ship and return for another load instead of trying to cram in that last bit. If you try to pick up that big wad of 20 Tzo Crystals and only have space for three, three is all you'll get and the rest will be wasted.
- Keep in mind that landing planets require certain amounts of fuel. Because of this, every rock in The Ur-Quan Masters universe isn't worth landing. For example, you should consider twice landing a planet with not so valuable minerals (common, corrosive) if the fuel consumption is more than 1 unit.
- If you are low on crew, return to the ship immediately. There is nothing worse than having your lander blown to pieces in the middle of a mining run.
- It is wise to carry more than one lander at a time. This is critical early on in the game, so you don't have to go all the way back to Sol and buy another one in order to continue your scavenging efforts.
- Remember to look at the atmospheric rating, seismic rating and temperature of a planet before landing. Its easy to forget and come down in the middle of hell.
- The Melnorme have things to improve your landers, for a price.
