Mauler

The Druuge Mauler is a slow ship with a very powerful long-range weapon but a weak recharge system.

The Mauler's only weapon is a long-range, high-recoil cannon. Firing the cannon once will thrust the Mauler backwards slightly. Several shots will send it flying unless the captain thrusts his engines to resist the recoil.

To compensate for the Mauler's weak battery recharging, Druuge captains have been known to order lower-ranking crew members to be thrown into the furnace. Although doing this costs the ship one crew member, it also recharges the Mauler's batteries halfway.
