The Algolites, according to trade master Greenish, were a race of beings native to Algol IV. They became extinct when the Spathi, who wanted to colonize the planet in question, made a few changes to it's atmosphere. This tuning got out of hand and soon the whole planet was an airless rock.
Only the Melnorme know more about their late appearance or culture.
