Spacedog is my (extremely uncreative) callsign from another space game of that era (the one that starts with 'Wing' and ended with 'An old Luke Skywalker gets killed by a bug alien'). I played Star Control II for the PC (with the 5 1/4in diskettes), thought it was a nice game but was completely unaware of its fandom in the net.
