ZEX resided there with his personal servants and subordinates, building his collection of wonders from nearby space, including many unique Precursor artifacts and, of course, his famous menagerie of grotesque monsters.
Unfortunately, ZEX's state-of-the-art confinement technology was not adequate to his last acquisition, a legendary beast that broke free of its restraints and went on a rampage, killing all personnel before vanishing into the wilderness.
