Delta Draconis I, a Water World, is the homeworld of the Thraddash and the site of their many cultural conflicts over the past ten thousand years. The Ur-Quan Kzer-Za have intervened at least twice in these cultural conflicts on the home planet, both times during the transition from Culture Eighteen to Culture Nineteen, preventing a global exchange of thermo-nuclear weapons and selecting new leaders for Culture Nineteen at random (after executing the former leaders, who had achieved dominance by poisoning the opposition).

While the Thraddash eventually respond with awe and loyalty to someone who consistently defeats Torch battle groups, they usually view anyone who attacks their homeworld as "irrevocably stupid." Victories against the limitless homeworld fleet is attributed to luck and not to superior military prowess.
