Katana is the brother of Tanaka, they being the only two remaining Shofixti males still living. Katana was assigned to a Yehat patrol group in Mycon space during the final attack at Delta Gorno. On his return trip home, he battled a VUX Intruder. While he won the fight, several Intruder limpets were attached to his ship causing him to literally crawl through hyperspace on his way home.
