Many kinds of stars fill the galaxy. The properties of a star have a strong effect on the planets in its system and subsequently the minerals that can be found on those planets.
Size Classification[edit]
Larger stars will have more planets. Those planets tend to be more treacherous but have more valuable minerals. They are rated (from smallest to largest):
- Dwarf Star
- Giant Star
- Supergiant Star
Some star types have special attributes.
Color Classification[edit]
The color of a star indicates how hot it is (directly dependent on how much energy it outputs). Hotter stars have a significantly higher chance of having more mineral rich worlds around them. They are rated (from coldest to hottest):
- Red
- Orange
- Yellow
- Green
- Blue
- White
Note: the color scale listed here is not scientifically accurate, see here for a Wikipedia article on the subject.
