The Supox baffle conventional scientists, for their race has obviously evolved from plants, rather than animals(though in my opinion this is not so weird. If a rock can evolve intelligence, why not a plant? -Dingus). Supox take this strange evolution as a proof of their divine origin. As you might guess, they don't like vegetarians...

the Supox Utricularia (complete name)indeed evolved from peaceful, semi-mobile plants on their homeworld in Beta Librae system, which they also confusingly call "Earth" or "Vlik" in their language, "Vlik" meaning more accurately "Perfectly Good and Nutritious Dirt". As plants they are symbionts, and when meeting other civilizations always thrive to form a symbiotic relationship with them. As they say "Our first step in making friends is always to copy them".

Their current relationship is with the Utwig, "wearers of the masks".
