:I think what they mean by "... the player does not speak directly", is that the player doesn't go into the game dialogue with them. Hawkins may have sent a report on the VUX beast to the Captain, but the Captain (meaning the player) doesn't actually "say" anything to Hawkins (meaning that the player doesn't select a piece of dialogue as a response to Hawkins). --Phoenix (t) 22:47, 9 Nov 2005 (CET)

::The only counter that I can come up with is that in the 3DO and UQM versions, it is not Hayes' voice that reads the analysis (like for the other ones) but Hawkins' voice. Granted you never see him, and you don't have any choices for responses afterward, so I can live with leaving him as a minor character. But he is a unique minor character in that we actually get to hear his voice. --Fyzixfighter 05:28, 10 Nov 2005 (CET)

Should Hawkins be considered a minor character or a game character? He does seem to be the one talking in the analysis summary for the VUX beast. --Fyzixfighter 21:47, 9 Nov 2005 (CET)
