'Fear Ball' is a widespread colloquial term for the fully charged red form of the Melnorme primary weapon. Should this fact be included? -- Death 999

I don't know if this is really that widespread. On the UQM forums, only three people use a similar term for these: Captain Smithy and yourself use "fear ball" or a variation of it, and NECRO-99 uses "fear orbs." Can anyone else confirm if this is a widespread colloquial name? The edit I did was to try and match it up with the terminology used in the SC2 manual. It isn't unprecedented to included a colloquial name, The Flagship article mentions "SIS", but that initially started because of the internal code. If the colloquial term had a similar source then I think it'd be easier to include. But that's my two cents...anyone else?

If the origin of the term can be loosely traced to Star Control canon, sure. However, if it's merely a term used by fans with no connection to the game (as opposed to SIS), I don't think that alone merits its inclusion in our encyclopedia. -Fadookie 01:40, 29 December 2005 (CET)
