Just in case you're reading this and still don't know how to do it - there IS a way to run StarFlight on modern systems. Download DOSBox, a DOS emulator, and use it to run StarFlight I&II (don't forget to increase cycles using Ctrl-F12 -- 9000 cycles did it for me). See also starflt.com.
