Is this worth the effort? I've been on UQMF almost from the start and have read a good chunk of SCDB's archives and IMO it really isn't. It might be better to make a compilation of the best threads and ignore everything else. A "goldmine", if you will. --[[User:Shiver|Shiver]] 17:26, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

:I see your point. However, one could also see this as a preliminary step towards such a goldmine. If you decided to compile a high-quality list of threads on another page, I could suggest things you might have missed as I go through them methodically. --[[User:Zeracles|Zeracles]] 18:00, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 18:00, 4 October 2009

So as I was saying on my user page, what I hope to do here is have a place which holds the sorts of contents of a history which are objective. Anyone can contribute.

What I have in mind regarding the forums is a kind of thread catalogue. Perhaps: User:Zeracles/History of the Star Control fan universe/Thread catalogue

Also a chronology. Events like new threads, new ultronomicon pages, new posters, new editors on the ultronomicon, if someone seems to have disappeared off the face of the SCFU then when their last post/edit was. UQM remake releases, music remix releases. Perhaps: User:Zeracles/History of the Star Control fan universe/Chronology

Idea catalogue. Where was an idea first mentioned? Give credit where credit is due (yes, this follows from recent conversation on my talk page). Perhaps: User:Zeracles/History of the Star Control fan universe/Ideas

As I've said, I'm a relative newcomer. Thanks for any interest. --Zeracles 21:27, 18 January 2008 (CET)

Maybe it's just as well no-one's interested just yet, I'm thinking the best way to do this will be by generating it all from a text source, I can write the code for this (I think). It will be this source which is edited directly. All the same, these things will still be informed by discussion. --Zeracles 23:17, 16 February 2008 (CET)
