Beta Brahe I is a Shattered World orbiting the the star Beta Brahe. Even during the Ur-Quan Slave War, the Mycon were noticeably more active around this planet. During the War, Tanaka, as a lead scout on a Yehat recon mission to the star system, witnessed a small Mycon fleet clustering around the planet and apparently testing the Sun Device. Years later, during the events of Star Control II, the Mycon maintain a nearly unlimited fleet of Podships to protect the planet, or more specifically, the Sun Device. The Mycon also refer to the planet as "a special place, filled with Juffo-Wup" and imply that the Sun Device has been on the planet's surface for several millennia. However, the Mycon have been known to remove the device from the planet on some occasions.¹

The guarding fleet is significantly reduced if The Captain convinces the Mycon to send a Birthing Fleet to implant a Deep Child in Organon I. Unlike most other Shattered Worlds, there are no Deep Child Egg Case Fragments that can be scavenged from the planet's surface.
