Puun-Taffy is an ancient and solemn Spathi ritual to select a person. In the ritual the candidates pick Ta Puun sticks, and whomever picks the longest stick is selected. Essentially this is equivalent to the Human practice of drawing straws.
The Spathi contigent of Earthguard used this ritual several times to decide who would return to Spathiwa. Ultimately Fwiffo drew the short Ta Puun stick and thus became the only Spathi to remain in the Sol system.
