Beta Brahe I is a Shattered World orbiting the the star Beta Brahe. Even during the Ur-Quan Slave War, the Mycon were noticeably more active of this planet. During the War, Tanaka, as a lead scout on a Yehat recon mission to the star system, witnessed a small Mycon fleet clustering around the planet and apparently testing the Sun Device. Years later, during the events of Star Control II, the Mycon maintain a nearly unlimited fleet of Podships to protect the planet, or more specifically, the Sun Device. The Mycon also refer to the planet as "a special place, filled with Juffo-Wup" and imply that the Sun Device has been on the planet's surface for several millennia.
