Daikon is the name of a prominent hero in Shofixti mythology. Little is known about the hero, other than that it was prophesied that Daikon would return one day in the future; Tanaka's exact words are "I await the return of the hero Daikon and the rebirth of my species.", leaving it open to interpretation whether he is also believed to eventually bring the rebirth of the Shofixti species or not. Tanaka also mentions Daikon when he mistakenly identifies and swears to kill The Captain. Daikon is also a Shofixti Scout captain name.
